What was the most memorable part of your special day?
Will and I got engaged in December 2019, so we spent most of our time engaged in a lock-down and had a good year and a half to plan the wedding. Besides having to re-plan around Covid (and just the stress of it all in general), our wedding day happened to fall on the weekend where a hurricane was passing through New York. At some point in the planning process you just face certain things that are out of your control (like a global pandemic and hurricanes), so I made a conscious decision to not be upset about changes but to rather embrace the most important thing in this whole process, which was that I got to finally marry my best friend. We get so wrapped up in the details of wedding planning that we seem to forget that at the end of the day, you getting married is all that really matters. All I remember from our wedding day, which flies by in what feels like a second, is our first look before the ceremony, our vows to each other, our dance, and the way we smiled ear to ear all day.
