A funny memory and one that my family and friends get a kick out of is that I did not think the string quartet showed up for the ceremony. We had hired a string quartet to play the ceremony music, but once I started walking down the aisle it was like I had tunnel vision, so much so that a day later I went to my parents and said “what happened to the string quartet we hired, did they not show?” To their disbelief I did not even register they were there. The only person I saw was Joe at the end of the aisle. Another very memorable part of our wedding was just how excited everyone was to dance. Joe and I love music and we were adamant that we all had plenty of time to dance and enjoy the evening. What we did not know was that everyone was just as excited to dance as we were. I think a lot of it had to do with COVID – we were one of the first big weddings that was allowed/ had happened in the past year. A lot of friends and family were seeing each other for the first time in a year or two. So once the band announced it was time to dance, our guests rushed the dance floor. It was something I had never seen before at a wedding. Everyone immediately left their seats and the dance floor did not empty until the very last song.
