We both worked for the same company but out of different office locations (him in Arizona, me in Utah). He came up to the Utah office for a project meeting and I developed an instant crush. The timing was bad, but after talking for a few months we decided to give the relationship a real shot. Fast forward three years (including dating long distance, a puppy, graduate school, a pandemic, and a move to a new town) and he proposed to me the day we received the keys to our first house.
The ceremony, which was surprising because it was the part of the day we’d worried about the least during the leadup to the wedding even though it’s technically the most important aspect of the whole thing. We were married by a dear friend and wrote our own vows. We were in a beautiful setting surrounded by our closest friends and family. The whole thing was so special and so us–we just loved it.
