James and I are both school teachers. We met in the summer of 2017 when we were working in the same summer school program. He asked me out on our first date while we were at work, and the rest is history!Â
The most memorable part of our special day was being surrounded by our loving family and friends. When I think back on that day, I remember seeing so many smiling faces and being overwhelmed with feelings of warmth and love. It may sound cheesy, but that is truly how it feels! It was simply magical.Â
My biggest shopping tip for any future bride is this- don’t feel pressured to have that “this is the one” moment! Everyone said to me, “you will just know your dress is the one from the moment you first try it on”. It didn’t happen that way for me! I absolutely loved the dress I chose, but I loved many of the dresses I tried on. I had to go home and think about it. But after a few days, there was one dress that I kept thinking about and kept looking at pictures of, and that’s how I knew it was the one. It’s okay if you don’t have that immediate “this is it” feeling! Take the time you need. You’ll know when you know- even if that doesn’t happen immediately!
