Lazaro’s collection is a sumptuous mix of dreamy romance, timeless elegance and just a sprinkle of diva glam. Designed to enchant and seduce, Lazaro creates frothy ball gowns to sculptured trumpets. Lazaro is part of the JLM Couture company. The designer can make gowns from size 2 – size 28. Size 20 and up will have an additional charge for sizing. The designer is flexible in accommodating basic design changes such as raising/lower necklines, opening cups, hollow to hem/waist, shortening/lengthening bodice or adding buttons, with additional charges applied. Major changes such as custom measurements or muslin fittings will need to be approved and on a case by case basis. Lazaro standard delivery schedule is 14 weeks or more. Quicker deliveries will be available at additional charges and must be approved by the designer, based on fabric/beading/lace availability and the production schedule. Lazaro will provide swatches at additional costs. Brides who wish to obtain fabric swatches for their gowns will need to submit purchase orders and lead times can be up to 4 weeks. Lazaro will also provide lace/fabric for purchase should brides wish to make accessories/veils to match their gowns. The delivery time on these fabrics take as long as the gown production. Please bear that delivery schedule in mind so you can plan ahead. All Lazaro samples will be sold AS-IS. If the designer is still using similar fabric to create dresses currently, Wedding Atelier will assist in obtaining fabrics for any necessary repairs/creations with additional fees paid by the brides. If the designer is no longer using such fabric/materials, dresses will need to be altered with existing materials as-is.

About the Designer

Lazaro Perez is the designer behind his namesake collection Lazaro, and a true visionary in the bridal industry. His opulent creations are a sumptuous mix of dreamy romance, timeless elegance and diva glam. Lazaro is known for impeccable fits, exquisite hand embroidered wedding dresses, glamorous corset wedding dresses, and the use of luxurious fabrics that shimmer and dazzle.

Originally from Cuba, Lazaro grew up with a dress form and measuring tape in tow. He started his career as a pattern maker, designing custom dresses at a couture bridal shop located in the prestigious Gold Coast of Chicago. While attending University, Lazaro was awarded ‘Best New Bridal Design’ and later moved to New York as an apprentice for bridal house Galina-Bouquet. Following his apprenticeship, Lazaro became head designer for Richard Glasgow’s Riccio collection. In 1994, JLM Couture welcomed Lazaro into the JLM group to launch his iconic Lazaro collection.

Inspired by romance and timeless elegance, Lazaro has culled from Hollywood glamour and his experiences in theater and costume design. Lazaro’s latest collection is designed to enchant and seduce. He creates frothy ball gown wedding dresses and sculptured mermaid wedding dresses, with sheer panels that reveal just enough, but never too much. Lazaro combines exquisite materials to create unique fabrications. Sparkly wedding dresses shine under shimmering net, and layers of luscious lace offer tempting textures, bringing drama and sensuality to his long sleeve wedding dresses, ballgown wedding dresses, sexy wedding dresses, and everything in between.
