Latest COVID-19 Update

March 23, 2020

Dear Wedding Atelier Brides and future WA Brides,

Due to the outbreak of coronavirus in New York City, Wedding Atelier is CLOSED from March 20, 2020 until further notice, following New York State government's mandate. We are hopeful that we will re-open very soon; 2nd week of April is what we are aiming for. We are all in this together to fight this invisible enemy!

For Brides with March, April, and May 2020 Weddings Dates:

We have contacted ALL of our March and April 2020 brides who have either postponed their weddings or made other arrangements to pick up their gowns. We have also contacted some May 2020 brides. Unfortunately we may not have had the opportunity to talk to ALL May 2020 brides. Please reach out to us at info@weddingatelier.com to let us know if you plan to postpone your weddings.

For Brides with June, July, and August 2020 Wedding Dates:

We are hopeful that none of you girls need to postpone your weddings. Please be rest assured that you will have enough time to do all of your fittings once we are allow to be open again. Since most of the weddings ahead of you are now rescheduled, you will be the first brides we will be serving in fittings once we reopen the salon.

Contacting Wedding Atelier during this difficult time:

We are dedicated to our brides and we want to put all of our brides at ease as much as possible during this difficult time.

Please understand, most of our ordering information is at the store and it is difficult to access it remotely. We are in contact with our POS system company to set up POSSIBLE remote access. Until that is achieved, we will have VERY LIMITED access to our client database and order maintenance system. Please bear with us if you don't hear from us. It is likely because we don't have any updates to provide to you at the moment.

For those brides with appointments scheduled BEFORE April 13, 2020, please be advised that we have no choice but to cancel your appointments. We are currently being required to remain closed through April 12th, however, this date is subject to change as the situation continues to evolve. We wish we had the ability to contact each of you directly, but without access to the aforementioned POS system, we are unable to do so. Please accept our apologies and know that we will contact you to reschedule as soon as we are able to resume business as usual.

However, it is reassuring to know that, as of March 15, 2020, we've checked with all of our vendors/designers for June, July, and August 2020 weddings and we do not foresee any major delays from anyone.

We are NO LONGER able to accommodate any pick ups at this point. All pick ups will need to be done after we are re-open again.

You are still welcome to email us at info@weddingatelier.com should you want to tell us anything. Please just note that we will not be able to get back to you in a timely manner due to the 0% workforce mandated by Governor Cuomo.

We are a 100% woman owned, women run and operated company, serving women and helping them to look beautiful on the most important day of their live. We will get through this together, along with the rest of our fellow New Yorkers. We will need all of your support once we are allowed to open again.

Until then, stay safe and healthy everyone!

Warmest Regards,
Wedding Atelier Management

Recently, we received a touching story from Patrice Grady-Erickson, a beautiful bride who was a delight to work with and looked absolutely stunning in her wedding gown that she picked from Wedding Atelier.

Below is story and her gorgeous wedding photos from Rome:

I wanted to write to thank the entire team at Wedding Atelier for helping me not only choose my dress, but add advice, provided excellent customer service, accomodate my requests and complete excellent alterations. Not only did you go above and beyond but you made me a jacket, a jacket that was perfect and just want I wanted. Those that don’t know the story here is a quick re-cap. After you packed my dress in a carry on I got on a plane to Rome to meet my family. The first thing I did was take my beautiful dress out of my luggage that May did such a great job packing and hung to get the small wrinkles out. Later that afternoon my sister (maid of honor) and I went for lunch, upon our return to the apartment we rented, I noticed fire trunks in the street…

Our apartment had caught on fire, everything was ruined including my dress. Everyone was ok (thank god) but my emotions were going wild. It took an Italian dry cleaner 4 times to try and get the smoke damage out of my veil, jacket and dress.

After all was said and done, I looked at my Mom (the one who came with to pick out the dress) and said “I am going to wear my dress, I don’t care it’s my dress”. So with that said I wanted to share this story with the team at wedding atelier, if it wasn’t for all your support and helpfulness I would of walked away from my dress and possibly my wedding.

But it wasn’t just a dress, it was an experience and only a bride will understand. I wanted to share these pictures with you, they are from my photographers website, he did a great job of covering the damage with the black and white photos. At the bottom is a quick video of the day. Marnie was my bridal stylist so please make sure she and May see the pictures. Kevin and I were married on May 24, 2012 at St. Peter’s Basilica at the Vatican in Rome. Please enjoy, this was a journey and you were part of it so thank you! I tell everyone how fabulous your Atelier is.” Best, Patrice Grady-Erickson
